♥ A few days ago I had a "conversation" with modernhope  about Crime and Punishment and ,since at least one of my friend *occhiolino* love this book like me, I thought to report my really intelligent and inspirated speech: 

"There are many reason because I love this novel (and I’m pretty sure I will not able to list them all):
1. It’s a story without time or place. The plot could talk about a Renaissance Italian man or about a Futuristic Australian, it would be the same. It talk about universal feelings not only the ones of the single character.
2. The character and his feelings are so well described that you can feel WITH the character and at the same time you can still judge his actions as horrible and wrong. Raskolnikov is not an hero, he’s a villain – and Dostoevskij is clear about it, he disapproves his actions and more of everything his justification of his crime – but you can fallow his internal struggle and see his weakness and his humanity. You are into the book – walking and feeling with the protagonist (and also with the other characters) – and at the same time you are outside – watching like a psychologist or anthropologist.
3. There is not only Raskolnikov is this book. The other character, especially the female ones, are little masterpiece. Both the main female characters of the book, Dunja and Sonja, are strong women who are ready to sacrifice themselves for the ones they love. Sonja sold her body but she still has her dignity and her faith. Dunja is ready to marry a man who is horrible and most of everything incredibly stupid but she know she can be still herself, strong of her intelligence and knowledge. Dunja is still my favorite female character in Literature."

I finished my Don/Charlie Porn fic Any Other Friday: Redux!

The funny thing is, I signed up to finish this fic in January of '09. /Facepalm./ Oh well, it's been that kind of year.

I'm very pleased to finally have this one off my todo list.

I've finished my fic (CW RPS, J2 AU, titled "Stand On Your Own Head (For A Change)") that was mostly written during a mini version of NaNo but that I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep the momentum going on once November ended.
